  • Allows students to start their studies at IIHEM and complete their MBA program at ABS Paris after completing six months of internship and four years of study at IIHEM.

What is CESINE?

Founded in 1993, CESINE is a bilingual Spanish-English non-religious private university. It is considered one of the most prestigious in the North of Spain undergraduate, post graduate, and executive education.

CESINE offers a learning environment that promotes an international vision, with students and teachers from dif-ferent parts of the world that provide a variety of perspective and experiences.

CESINE is an entrepreneurial university, advanced and very international. This institution has a teaching experience of nearly twenty-five years and it is considered one of the top three universities in Spain out of a total of forty evaluated in the i2n ranking, issued by PriceWaterhouse Cooppers and Education First. Where is CESINE located?

Located in the northern region of Cantabria, Spain, Santander is a southern facing port city that contains important businesses, public institutions, and private organizations such as the Grupo Santander, one of the world's largest banks. The city offers many activities related to culture, leisure and tourism. Santander is often a host city for conventions, conferences, cultural festivals and cruises. What programs are included in the CESINE/IIHEM Joint Academic Programs?
Three programs are included :

Semester Abroad Program:

  • Allows IIHEM students to spend a semester, extensible to a year, at CESINE.

Bachelor's Transfer Program:

  • Allows undergraduate students to start their studies at IIHEM and complete their Bachelor's degree at CESINE. Credits earned at IIHEM are transferred to CESINE.

Direct Entrance Master Program:

  • Allows students to enter the CESINE Master's program after three or four years of study at IIHEM.

Who is eligible to apply to these programs?

Semester Abroad Program:

  • Qualified IIHEM students who have successfully completed at least three semesters of academic study and are enrolled either in the third or fourth year at IIHEM.

Bachelor's Transfer Program:

  • Qualified IIHEM students enrolled in BAC+3 who have successfully completed at least four semesters of academic study.

Direct Entrance Master Program:

  • Qualified IIHEM students enrolled in BAC +3 or BAC+5 who have successfully completed three or four years of academic study.

  • This program is not a degree program. Courses taken at CESINE will be transferred to equivalent courses at IIHEM.

Are these programs accredited?

Yes. IIHEM diplomas are accredited by the Moroccan Ministry of Higher Education and CESINE has the authorization of the Government of Cantabria.

How is the program delivered?

Semester Abroad Program:

  • Students must have completed three academic semesters at IIHEM. Students in their second, third or fourth year can be enrolled in this non-degree program.

Bachelor's Transfer Program:

  • The first two years of the academic undergraduate program are delivered on the IIHEM campus by IIHEM professors and the remaining one year of the undergraduate program are delivered by CESINE professors in Spain.

Direct Entrance Master Program:

  • A student who has completed three or four years at IIHEM can apply to complete in one year the Master's program at CESINE.

All programs include Internship.

Will I be able to transfer credits from IIHEM to CESINE?

Semester Abroad Program:

  • Students may transfer up to 60 IIHEM credits.
Do I get the same CESINE diploma as the one given to graduates from the CESINE campus?

Yes.

Once I complete my degree, can I take part in the graduation ceremony at CESINE?

Yes.

Can I do more of my program at CESINE?

Yes, within the general framework. You can do this through a transfer. You will however pay CESINE tuition whenever you are on the CESINE campus.

When are the application deadlines?

Application deadlines for the different semesters are as follows:

How long are the CESINE Master's programs?

1 year of study.

When do the semesters start?
  • The Fall Semester starts in September (IIHEM and CESINE).
  • The Spring Semester starts in January (IIHEM/CESINE).
How many credits are in each program?

Semester Abroad Program:

  • At least 15 credits (five courses) are to be taken per semester.

Bachelor's Transfer (TOP Up) Program:

  • A total of 90 credits, 60 of which are taken at IIHEM and 30 at CESINE.

Direct Entrance Master's Program:

  • A total of 30 credits are to be taken at CESINE.
What is the course load per semester for full-time students?

The normal load is four to five courses per semester.

What are class hours?

Undergraduate and fourth year classes at IIHEM are taught during the day. All classes at CESINE are taught either during the day or evening. It could be from 4 pm to 9 pm or from 9 am to 2 pm.

When can I enroll?

Enrollment in the program takes place in July and November.

What are the admissions requirements for the program?

Semester Abroad Program:

  • complete 1.5 academic years at IIHEM with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Bachelor's Transfer (TOP Up) Program:

  • be enrolled in an IIHEM BAC+3 program,
  • successfully complete three years at IIHEM with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • have an IELTS score of 5.5 or a TOEFL score of 550.

Direct Entrance Master's Program:

  • be enrolled in an IIHEM three or five-year diploma program.
What documents need to be included in my application?

  • The application form completed in detail, with examination records certified by school authorities, attested photocopies of all additional educational qualifications already obtained and English or Spanish language translations of qualifications not issued in English or Spanish.
  • An official letter issued by IIHEM concerning the student's status,
  • Letter of recommendation, signed by academic referee and sealed in an envelope marked "Confidential".
  • Detailed Curriculum Vitae in English (If the student has professional experience).
  • Any other relevant information regarding qualifications or previous work experience.
  • Three recent passport size photographs, signed on the back.
  • Photocopy of original passport or birth certificate.
  • Proof of ability to sustain oneself financially for the academic year (Official bank statement, from the last months) (only students who need VISA).
  • It is the applicants' responsibility to see that all the above documents reach the International Office of CESINE Business School before 20th July for entry to programmes commencing in September and 20th November for the programmes commencing in January.
How much do these programs cost?

Semester Abroad Program:

  • Tuition for all courses taken at CESINE is current CESINE tuition (2.250 Euro per semester). Students will receive a discount of 15%, so the total tuition costs will be near 1912 Euro per semester.
  • Travel, insurance and living expenses at CESINE are the responsibility of each student.

Bachelor's Transfer Program:

  • Tuition for all courses taken at CESINE is current CESINE tuition (5990 Euro for the 2018-2019 school year). Students will receive a discount of 15%, so the total tuition costs will be near 5091 Euro per year.
  • Travel, insurance and living expenses at CESINE are the responsibility of each student.

Direct Entrance Master's Program:

  • Tuition for all courses taken at CESINE is current CESINE tuition (8000 Euro for the 2018-2019 school year). Students will receive a discount of 15%, so the total tuition costs will be near 6800 Euro per year.
  • Travel, insurance and living expenses at CESINE are the responsibility of each student.

Living expenses (housing, utilities, meals, incidentals, etc.) are between $600 and $800 per month.

Who is responsible for getting the visa to Spain?

You are.

CESINE will provide admitted students with an admission letter and visa documents, but it is the responsibility of each student to get the visa appointment and to obtain the visa from the embassy. Neither CESINE nor IIHEM will be held responsible for a visa refusal by the Spain consulate.

Will I be able to work in the Spain after successfully finishing my program?

Yes, Only If the company where you are doing the internship wants to hire you.

I am interested! How should I start the process?

  • Student submits an application to the IIHEM Director of International Programs (DoIP),
  • Once the application is deemed receivable by IIHEM, student meets with the DoIP to discuss and receive approval of your program of study at CESINE,
  • Student submits application to CESINE with IIHEM endorsement,
  • CESINE arranges for an online application interview with a CESINE admissions officer,
  • CESINE informs IIHEM and the student of the admissions decision,
  • On acceptance fee, acceptance letter will be sent and CESINE prepares the visa documents for candidates,
  • CESINE posts the visa documents and paper admission notice to candidates,
  • Candidates go to local Spain embassy to apply for a long term study visa,
  • Candidates receive the visa and plan their trip!
